This is another dialogue I came up with, it's rather silly, in an Abbot & Costello sort of way
(A general at an army base – General Specific Lee - answers the phone)
General: Ft. Stonesworth, General Lee Speaking
Caller: What do you mean “generally speaking”? Is it Ft. Stonesworth or is isn’t it?
General: Oh, it is. Most definitely.
Caller: Then don’t say “Generally Speaking”
General: But you’re speaking to General Lee
Caller: I’m not speaking too generally! I’m speaking quite specifically to you!
General: Exactly, you’re speaking to me, General Lee
Caller: No, specifically! Now could I please speak to the commanding officer?
General: That’s me, General Lee
Caller: There you go again! Are you the commander or aren’t you?
General: I am the commander, General Lee
Caller: When you say you’re the commander generally, you suggest that there are times when you are not the commander. Who’s commander then?
General: I think you’re misunderstanding. I, General Lee, am the commander all the time.
Caller: Generally.
General: That’s me.
Caller: Exactly who am I speaking to?
General: Specific Lee, the General
Caller: But which General? That wasn’t specific at all!
General: Well, I’m General Lee!
Caller: Generally what?
General: No, I’m afraid General Lee-Watt works over at the Air Force base.
Caller: Generally what works at the Air Force base?
General: Watt works at the Air Force base; General Lee works here.
Caller: Well that’s all very well and good that you can share operating procedures, but that doesn’t help a lot with me getting through to the General!
General: You’re talking to him. General Lee, at your service.
Caller: Well, yes you’re generally at my service but when ever I ask a specific question you can’t seem to answer it.
General: Come now, that’s unfair.
Caller: I’ll prove it. What’s your name?
General: Specific Lee.
Caller: That’s about as clear as I can make it.
General: But I answered your question!
Caller: What, “Specific Lee” is your name?
General: I just told you!
Caller: Oh never mind. Good day to you! (hangs up)
General: I wonder what that was all about.

**Depending on the fact that everyone knew their lines at rehersal yesterday and that Horrigan didn't just call the whole thing off.
***Reservations required (Call Erin)
****If you didn't get this, start watching Joan of Arcadia
By the way, if anyone knows enough HTML to make a real usable chart (since this interface is making it devilishly difficult) that would be nice.

The Stormy Somethings
So, what do ya'll think of this crazy weather? It's pretty...crappy, no? I mean, I love snow, but this is ridiculous! It's just so windy and stinking COLD! I've always thought that snow would be the coolest stuff ever if it didn't have to be so freaking cold and frozen and stuff. Honestly. Anyway, just felt like writing something to take up some more time that I should be spending memorizing for my play. Did that last sentence make any sense whatsoever? I doubt it. Oh! You all should come see the play I'm in! The dates are: February 18, 19, 25, and 26 at 8:00 PM, Feb. 27 at 2:30 PM, March 3 at 7:30 PM, and March 4 and 5 at 8. Please, please come! You'll get to see me being sweet and innocent *But NOT ditzy!* and looking very fetching in Early Victorian dresses. :D Also, I have a kissing scene. You should just come to see that and laugh at me because I can't do it. teehee. Okay, I'm done. But come!

Melodramatic Onion II
What follows is a random little D&Dialogue Nate and I came up with that about half of you will probably get. If I could draw, it would be as a comic. This could easily be me and Paul I think - except that he wouldn't kill me off as easily.
DM: You got a ring of extended vitality, but you can only wear one ring at a time…
Player: I’ll wear it as a nose ring.
A nose ring?
Sure.
No.
Why not?
Uh… Your character doesn’t have a pierced nose.
Oh. Alright.
Ok. So you continue walking through the –
I pierce my nose.
What? Right there? How?
With my rapier.
You can’t pierce your nose with a rapier!
It says I can!
Where?
Right there – “Rapier – Piercing weapon”
That’s not what that means!
Oh really?
Y'know what? Fine. Roll a d20.
You’re gonna let me do it?
Sure, go ahead.
*rolls* Oh great. I got a one.
That’s a critical miss. You successfully pierce your nose – along with your skull and half your brain.
Jerk.
I'm glad you want to be close to me, but eating my sweater is not the way to happiness.

Just so everyone knows, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is actually all it's cracked up to be. It's one of the most brilliant movies in recent memory. Parts of it also really hit home with me, and had surprising relevance to my life.
So, anyway, I think I bombed the dreaded Oral final, mainly because I didn't know what the Haymarket incident was. Other finals went ok, as evidenced by the fact that I'm alive.

if video games have taught us anything, it's that zombies need to be put down ~goats.
I want school to die. Horrigan should have had the auditions at the beginning of December. It is impossible to memorize everything that we have to by saturday, and chances are we will not be performing at the Thespian conference. Not much else is new. For those interested, auditions at footlite for Man of La Mancha are this Sunday and Monday from 6-9. It's kind of short notice, but you might as well just pick a song you like and wing it. D&D may have to be postponed, 22nd might not work.

Gigantic Flying Parsnip MMCLXVII
So, I seem to have just been thrust onto the thespian scene here at LN. Already holding a role in Mark's play, I also got my first lead role in a musical - Eugene in Grease. Marten and Michael, I don't want to hear about it. It's your choice to come or not. As far as The Doctor In Spite of Himself (Mark's play) goes, I finally met the girl who's playing my love interest. I like her; we seem to have really good chemistry, which is a relief. I was worried she'd be some horrible/annoying person, and she definitely isn't. There's also the possibility of a kiss - there's a scene that would flow much better with one, but I'm gonna wait til we know each other better to suggest it, lest I come off as some kind of chauvinist.
Hmm... What else to say? I finished reading The Eyre Affair, and I'd like to officially recommend it (and all it's sequels) to anyone on the blog. They're by Jasper Fford - very good books. Zany on a Pratchett or Adams level, but with the same streak of calculated seriousness. And mad props to Evie and Nathan for getting me into them in the first place.
Keep the peace, keep the faith, and that's all for now, folks.

No dancing. I don't hold with dancing. Or singing or getting overexcited and or all that messing about with ointments and similar.
Okay, how does 5:30 on Friday work for everyone? Set your VCRs and TiVos to tape Joan. If you don't have my address, let me know so I can give it to you.

The lock-in was fun, but it could've used more Thomas. I'm tired, my knuckles and my legs hurt. I've already been complemented on my new bathrobe by random people I saw at a movie theatre. I will post on pants some time next week, I had a good idea of what I wanted to do, but I completely lost it. check out my new stream of conciousness blog, it on the links. I posted about tomatoes.
