Ok, so it's the last day of school. I'm doing nothing in any of my classes, so I decide to wear pajamas and a bathrobe to school. I'm on my way to first period, and a woman who I can only assume is part of the administration very rudely tells me to take it off. I comply, grumbling, and she asks me to give it to her to put in the deans office. I very politely say no. she grabs my arms and drags me into the office. At no point in this does this woman ever show me the respect Savage is always talking about. I ask her to point out to me where exactly in the handbook it forbids me from wearing a bathrobe. She yells at me to get to class.
So I go to choir, and I get a pass from Dingman to go to the Dean's office and talk to Mr. Savage about getting my bathrobe back. The rude woman eventually lets me in. I hand Savage the student handbook with the page opened to the dress code and ask him to please point out where it says I can't wear a bathrobe. He is unable to. I ask him if I can have it back. He says no. I ask why not. He says to stop wasting his time and go back to class. I say no. He threatens to send me home. I decide to retreat for now and figure out what to do.
I can't let them win. I need some way to make the administration say "We should never have messed with Nathan Comstock," without actually breaking any rules. We've got something in the works, but it's looking like it may not work. I need ideas - how do I strike back?

So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause.
Gooooooooood morning, Tatooine!
Sorry. I just thought of that this morning.
Revenge of the Sith was amazing. No other word does it justice. I cried, also. It was more than I could have hoped to expect. I have a brief post about it on Turtle now, with a more detailed one to follow.
Yeah, "My fandom is breaking my heart" is going to stay my default icon for a long time now.

You were the Chosen One!
It has been about 4 hours since I walked out of the theater, and exactly 2 hours since I woke up. I'm tired, I have an essay to revise, and I really don't like the Sith. By the end of the movie, everyone who was dressed as Darth Vader or some other Sith lord was feeling like a jack ass, myself included. I put together a last minute Sith costume to counter Kiel's Jedi robe. Thank you to Kiel, for getting me a ticket. The movie was as awesome as everyone expected it to be. Well, it might not have, but it was late and it really seemed as good as everyone expected it to be. I'm not going to give anything away, but I will say I cried.

"How we doin'?" "Same as always." "That bad, huh?"
The first two chapters of Surrender are officially up on fanfiction.net! YAY!
I'm so happy. I put it up yesterday and currently have 4 reviews, all positive, which is good.
I'm also updating it on Notebook every day, not because I expect anybody to read it that quickly, but because I want to get it all up as soon as possible.
Please go look at Turtle and Notebook of you have a chance.

Imperial Rutabaga III
From now until the 19th my title will feature both a Star Wars adjective and III as the Roman Numeral.
But the main purpose of this post is a belated No Pants Day update. Honestly, who actually did it? I wore fairly short gym shorts with a long sleeved dress shirt and my vest. (More elaborate top makes pants seem smaller) Nathan wore swimming trunks. We thought we'd found another participant, but apparently he didn't actually know it was No Pants Day.
So how about you guys? Eh?

Give in to your anger, young Greenhilt. Strike him down and take your place by my side. ~Order of the Stick
I got another spooky letter with no return address. This one has pigs, smells like perfume, and has "Beauty is the first thing to fade" hand written inside. Theres also a bird drawn on the front saying "Caw Caw," an ant sticker, and a cat sticker wearing a jester hat saying "You jest." It's all very bizzare.
The Darth Side is awesome, but OH MY GOD, THEY ATE THE EWOKS!!!!! The guy who writes Vader reminds me of Erin writing as the various character's she has written. Speaking of characters, we had to take a Core40 test in English, and an essay prompt told me to describe a fictional character that had a lasting effect on me. I described Captain Carrot. I thought about doing Obi Wan, though.
Seven days.

Very tired Parsnip VII
So, I just spent about 2.5 hours reworking the sidebar of this blog. It is now actually at the side of the blog, unless (a) your text size setting is larger than medium, (b) You post a long word with no break (a long link, for instance), or (c) you post an especially wide picture. These things will shunt the sidebar to the bottom.
I also changed the font of the word "Links" so it matches "Archives" and "Contributors." And then I moved that I Power Blogger button to the bottom. And then, at Michael's suggestion, I messed with the lightness of the grey of the headers and description.
In conclusion, I made the blog happier and html sucks. Also anyone who needs something html-y done to their own blog should contact me and I can give them some pointers. If anyone has aesthetic concerns about the blog you used to think were too complicated or too miniscule to worry about, just say 'em. I surprise even myself.
I also MIGHT have found a way to change the background to a starfield for May 19. A large jpeg of a starfield somewhere on the internet would make it easier, if anyone happens to know where to find one.

Best blog ever! Best blog ever! There aren't very many entries; I highly recommend reading them all in order.

There's no way a tiny candy could channel the Force ~Penny Arcade
I've learned a few things today:
1. Those little umbrella things that go in drinks make some really cool poison darts
2. Some people don't like having poison darts thrown at them.
3. Some people really don't like having poison darts thrown at them.
4. Poison darts are a lot more effective when you actually apply poison.
Another interesting thing I've learned today is that lots of people really like Guthrie. Her mother died, and she's going to be gone all week, so I asked the freshman in my TA class if they'd bring in some cash on Thursday to buy her a card and some chocolate for when she got back. I collected almost $20 on the spot. Guthrie's getting a lot of chocolate.

Perky Water Chestnut XXXXII
I think you can write 42 as VIIIC too, but I wasn't sure. So, having read Marten's post I feel kind of mean posting that this was by far the BEST MONDAY EVER.
Yet, it was. I found my book and Surachate's notebook, I recieved much positive feedback on my column, I was given cookies on two seperate occasions, I picked up two tutoring jobs for NHS, was nominated officially for NHS president, accomplished a lot on the veteran project, got to play a solo in band (We did Selections from Chicago and "All that Jazz" is basically a big baritone solo,) and, finally, I successfully quit marching band.
That last one is actually a bit worrying. I walked up to Mr. Cook and said "Mr. Cook, I've decided not to march next year." And he replied, most uncharacteristically, "Ok." I said "What!?! You're not going to try to talk me out of it?" "Nope." "You don't even want to know why??" "Nah."
There are two possible reasons for this strange reaction: (A) He's finally given up and no longer cares who chooses to march, or (B) he just doesn't like me. I'm leaning toward B, but either way I'm freaked out. More relieved than freaked out though.
Also, I successfully got 15 cats to walk in a line to the HHGG movie on Friday, and as far as I can tell a good time was had by all. The movie was most enjoyable.
Well I've got fame to earn and an ego that still grows,
I know that planet's somewhere, but where God only knows.
They say Magrathea is maybe just a myth,
But I've got folks who need a planet on my ship.
So if you see my improbable starship,
And you don't become a chesterfield,
Tell the government I've still got their flagship,
And I've got all three hands on the wheel.

comic #22...~Niego
So, crappy monday. I have failed my actors as a director, spent three hours on a somewhat anticlimactic test, and waisted the rest of my day watching "The Great Gatsby." It's a silly movie, fun to snark, but it just isn't the same in an english class. With all that and orchestra tonight, my last hope of happiness is this watermellon blow-pop. I'm almost afraid to eat it. What if it isn't as good as I think it will be? What if I'm crushed with disappointment in the classic confection? As I twist at the plastic wrapper, I stare in to the varitable abyss of potential artificial flavor, and the abyss, being what it is, stares back. Stupid metaphor. It's almost a Schrödinger thing. You know, the guy with the cat? I think it will taste good, but I don't know until I eat it.

The Rise of the Story-blog
So, yeah. Crazy Stalker Guy is now The Proving Ground, and it's focus has shifted entirely to story-blogdom. In keeping with this, it will now support multiple stories... sort of. I'm still not going to start COM in earnest until part one of the Dragon Story is over. Until then, however, "preludes" like the one on the site will show up as filler whenever writers blog keeps me from updating the other story.
Some one with Kazaa needs to find a copy of "So Long and Thanks for all the Fish" and burn it for me. Also I'm working on a second parody of "Downeaster Alexa" about the Heart of Gold. So far I have:
Well I'm on my Improbable Starship
And it's shiny and white and it's round
I have charted a course for Magrathea
but today we're Squornshellious bound
We took on Hitchhikers at Z plural Alpha yesterday
And left before that from a Media parade
Now half the Galaxy, they think that I'm insane
To smart to lead, I sectioned off half of my brain
So I could own my Improbable Starship
And I go where the Vogons are foul
There are Bugblatter beasts in the deep space
And a good frood keeps track of towel
