Yes, yes, I know, DPOD. And I should be writing a paper right now, but y'all?

Carpe Jugulum
Meeeehhhhhh. Why is it not break yet?
Last week I was vampirized. I donated blood. It was actually one of the best parts of my week, because it was surprisingly easy. I had assumed that I would feel faint or something, but not at all. I even looked at the tube once or twice. Nothing. I was fine to just walk out afterward, but I got a cookie anyway.
ADPi initiation got pushed back to after break, and I'm happy-sad. I want Bethany to be a full member already, but I really needed that time, too. I haven't even posted on my lj yet. I'm doing that later tonight, I think.
This week I have two tests, a paper, and a presentation. And somehow I think I've been talked into minoring in German. And I'm still considering double majoring with English and Medieval-Renaissance, because technically I could pull it off. I'm just not sure I want to. I think I may be a little bit masochistic.
My roommate talks on the phone ALL. THE. TIME. Loudly. She has multi-hour phone calls about twice a day. Every day. At least one of those times with her boyfriend. Once one of them went on for several hours late into the night/early into the morning, and I was trying to go to sleep. Talking and giggling often about the most inane things. I am privy to far more details about her sex life and that of her friends than I want to be. This is part of the end of that long conversation. Italics indicate my thoughts as I listened to her talk and giggle. "Yeah, you're supposed to know stuff out of all these books, like, you're supposed to read them and then they ask you questions about stuff in all these different classics, or whatever." SHUT UP! "Yeah, I need to read a lot more. Like, I need to learn the first line of Pride and Prejudice, I can never remember that." "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a large fortune must be in want of a wife," YOU STUPID BITCH! "Dude, we've been talking for, like, two hours." More. "No, seriously, it's been like two hours." More! "Okay, an hour and a half." F******CK YOOOOOUUUU.
But she only did that the one time, and in all other respects she's very easy to live with and very friendly, so all is well. And I get to come home next weekend.

Join Me
I've decided to Join Him.
Evie's father sent me the book, and I just couldn't find a reason not to. So as soon as I have a passport photo to send him, I'm in. In the meantime, I've decided to get an early start on my Random Acts of Kindness. I gave Mike Moon a candy bar today after he told me he was sad because his car had broken down. I have two more to give away to sad people today.
I'm taking my driver's test in a week, and this time I'm going to pass. And I updated my story blog. So, go read that.
I have to cut my hair soon. This makes me sad.

I sense a great disturbance in this theatre...As if millions of people were being forced to watch "Suddenly Susan."
So the Thespian show rocked. Twice. I went tonight and opening night, and I weep for those of you who missed it. It was the greatest show I have ever seen on the LC stage. Ironic that I wasn't actually in it... but I think it's better that way. I got to watch a show. I've never done that. Mad props to my padawans, Brad and Logan. Brad was awesome as the director, and Logan cracked me up as Selsdon. Everyone was awesome, even when the third act was pretty much improvised on opening night. There is wrong way to do Noises Off; they're supposed to mess up. How can you mess up the wrong way? I can't decide if they did better tonight, even though it was closer to the original script. Everyone was cast perfectly; I can't see anyone else doing those roles.
Hopefully now that this show is over, We'll have more time for lightsaber practice, we have less than a month to put the whole show together. We have to audition for variety pops early because Logan's going out of town on the week of auditions. I'm really scared for our show, I don't know if we'll be able to pull it off. Speaking of being worried about shows, we're a week out for Central Sound, and our closer still sucks and our opener needs cleaning. I'm kind of disappointed with the whols experience; the class is so disorganized and everyone talks too much so we hardly get anything done. I guess thats how it always is, but I'm still worried. We went to Ben Davis to watch other shows, and they were all very well done and well choreographed. Our closer is not. We changed it this morning, and I bet we'll change it twice more before we actually perform it on Saturday. I don't know if I'm cut out for this sort of thing.

I should be an artist, or a sculptor, or, I don't know, a dancer like Isadora Duncan-- a wild pagan spirit! Or a moving picture actress!
Well, this is the good news. I went to see The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, Hanover's latest play, last night, and it was REALLY good. I enjoyed it a very great deal, and was very proud of everyone I knew in it. Whitney was one of those people, playing an angsty punk kid, and she totally rocked. She put out a candle with her hand, and it was hardcore. A really great play, and a really great cast. Then I went to the cast party, which was surprisingly fun. A lot more fun than the last one I went to, maybe because It wasn't an evening focused on drinking. There was food and a few sober people and the drunk people were fun. It was at the house of Jim, the diretor, and he was drunk, and he kept making quesadillas and going, "ARIBA!" which was really funny. It's odd to see one of your professors drunk, but Jim was a very fun drunk. And his kids are so adorable- some of my favorite kids ever. His three or four year old son serenaded us, and his daughter and I talked about Anne of Green Gables. And then walking back, it was all quiet and snowy-- because "somebody hit the Narnia switch again" (tm Kelly)-- and then along came Max, the campus cat, and we ended up following him along, and it was like something out of a fantasy novel.
The ambiguous news is that at the party I got to talking to Wanda, our awesome costume designer, about my career plans, and I told her, and how college is the only level I think I could teach at, and then she started saying how that's frustrating though because there are kids who just won't live up to their potential, and something about "separating the weeds from the flowers," and I was kind of like... uh... are you trying to tell me something here, Wanda? So, now I'm not only questioning my career options once again, I'm also questioning whether I'm living up to my potential in Wanda's eyes. GAAAAAAAH.
The bad news is that last week was sucky. I had an American lit test on Monday, I was worried about the stupid chicken lab we ended up not even having to finish, and then there was a bio test on Friday. At this point, I just *really* don't know how I did on that. I think I may have seriously blanked out and mixed some stuff up, easy stuff like what adenine is paired with. I'm thinking a C, but it could go one letter up or down from there for all I know. And this week is not going to be much better. I have a German paper due Friday that I'm going to have to work on a lot, and three things on Wednesday that I don't know how or if I'm going to be able to cram then all in... sigh. And I don't know when I'm going to be able to post on Pants, I'm sorry. Struggling to keep my sanity, here.

Ok, my turn? Ninjas.
Okay, Great A'tuin, who carries the discworld on his back, is not only a giant flying star turtle, but also a ninja turtle. Awesome idea? Where do you think I can go with this?
The end of Oceans Unmoving is such a cop-out. Pete had better resolve the all the stuff with Calix, Kada, and the grey aliens.

The need of a new title scheme
Yeah this blank of the blank thing isn't workin' out anymore. Time to come up with something new. Until I do, I'll be using titles that have no scheme but actually make sense (after this one, of course).
So big news is West Side Story. I've just been upgraded from nameless Jet (No lines, no solos) to Action (70 lines, one song almost to myself.) I am very happy about this. Ironically enough, I have Philip Crawshaw to thank for this - it wasn't a big enough part for his massive ego, so he quit. But it suits my ego just fine.
West Side Story, by the way, is gonna rock. We are totally gonna pull it off. We sang through the quintet yesterday - it was amazing. I mean, it actually sounded good.
In other news, I got an $11,000 scholarship offer from Hanover college, so it's looking more and more like that's where I'll be going. But I can't say for sure yet.
