15 June 2008

Ma'am... I'm afraid that I'm the bearer of some bad news.... Your husband is a hat.

So we're about half way through June and I've the only one who's posted so far? That's... odd. I even made the new poll. It's getting awfully lonely on the blog. How's the job, Michael? Harder to post a lot now that you're working, isn't it? How are all the props, Nathan? Pokemon team coming along nicely? Jonah, how many tickets are left? Enjoy the little party last night? How about you, Erin? How's recapping treating you?

Me, I broke up with Gen a couple days ago. Didn't feel to good about it, and neither did she, but I suppose that is to be expected. Just my classic reasons combined with some new ones, I won't go into the introspective details. I was scared she would do something terrible to me, or at least never speak to me again, which would be particularly difficult considering our living conditions next year, i.e. in the same housing program and, if I recall correctly, a Shakespeare class. She sent me an email, though, that quelled my fears of an indefinite grudge.

We had our preview of The Cabaret Girl last night. I think it went fairly well, despite an injury sustained by one of the principles. She didn't hurt herself tonight, she was already injured. Pulled her hamstrings or something by doing the splits wrong for a different show, it was scary watching her walk by herself. We added a bit that let two guys help her down the stairs in her last number, and she has a cane for most of the show now, but it's still scary. She's awesome, though, has a good idea of what she can and can't do. She is our dance captain, so we'll see how that affects the next few shows.

I'm ready to open Oklahoma, and I wish it were Friday so we could do just that. I'm ready for audiences instead of silent seats. Well, to be honest, I wish it were next Tuesday so we were opening Mikado, because that is a really fun show. I know Erin is coming out here some how, Michael, you should find a way, too. It would be a lot of fun to have you out here in our *cornfield.

*not actually admitting it's a cornfield, merely making reference

You should have had me dressed as a geisha; light opera doesn't have vikings.
